The number of direct air services serving Scotland’s airports continues to grow, making it increasingly easy for your clients to start their vacation here. It has been a bumper year of announcements, which saw 2025 welcoming a list of new and return services to Scotland including Austrian Airlines (Vienna to Edinburgh); easyJet (Paris Charles de Gaulle to Aberdeen); and jetBlue (Boston to Edinburgh).
Recent announcements of new non-stop flights include the following services from destinations across the US and Europe.
New from North America
US
- United Airlines is to restart its New York (EWR) to Glasgow (GLA) service, starting on 8th May running until 23rd September 2026 and operating daily. United Airlines other non-stop flights to Scotland include a year-round New York (EWR), Washington (IAD) – until Jan, and seasonal Chicago (ORD) services to Edinburgh (EDI).
- American Airlines has announced a new route from New York (JFK) to Edinburgh (EDI), launching 8th March – 24th Oct 2026, operating a daily service.
Canada
- WestJet has announced a return to Glasgow. Direct flights from Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) to Glasgow (GLA) return on 15th May 2026. The direct service will operate four services per week, using one of its growing fleet of Boeing 737 Max aircraft.

New from Europe
Scotland’s accessibility from European markets has also continued to strengthen. Announcements and launches over the last few months have included some great, affordable options:
France:
- easyJet has launched a new direct service from Paris Charles-de-Gaulle (CDG) to Aberdeen (ABZ). Flights will operate twice weekly, starting 27 October 2025.
Italy:
- Wizz Air has started flights from both Rome Fiumicino (FCO) and Milan Malpensa (MXP) to Glasgow (GLA). Started on 27 October 2025, flights will run on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
Spain:
- easyJet launched a new route from Barcelona (BCN) to Edinburgh (EDI) having commenced on 27 October 2025. Flights will operate twice a week.
Denmark:
- Norwegian will fly from Billund (BLL) to Edinburgh (EDI) operating from April to October 2026.
