Robert Burns’ Ellisland Farm

Caledonian Railway

Located just off the A90, 30 minutes from Dundee and 40 minutes from Aberdeen, the Caledonian Railway is an entirely volunteer operated Heritage Steam Railway based in the small town of Brechin on the East Coast of Scotland.

The railway was built in 1848 and was saved for preservation in 1979. Since then, steam and diesel hauled trains have been run by a small group of volunteers throughout the summer along the four mile branch line between Brechin and the countryside stop of Bridge of Dun.

Moness Resort

Moness House has been part of the Aberfeldy landscape probably prior to the inception of Aberfeldy itself. Built in 1758 as a hunting lodge and reputed to be the oldest dwelling in Aberfeldy it has undergone several incarnations to become the centre piece of the Moness Resort.

Robert Burns House Dumfries

In this simple sandstone house in a quiet Dumfries street, Robert Burns, Scotland's national poet, spent the last years of his brilliant life. He died here in 1796 at the age of thirty-seven. The house gives us a picture of how the poet and his family lived in the late eighteenth century and is now a place of pilgrimage for Burns admirers the world over.
Your clients can see his desk and chair in his study, the famous Kilmarnock editions of his work and many original manuscripts & belongings of the poet.

Bespoke tours can be arrange in advance (depending on availability) to the Robert Burns Mausoleum on request. These can include a guided talk.
