Sumburgh Head Lighthouse, Visitor Centre And Nature Reserve
Sumburgh Head is a world class visitor attraction, located at the southern tip of Shetland Mainland, within 2 miles of the main airport. Here, your clients can discover the story of Shetland’s oldest Stevenson Lighthouse and its Keepers. Our Marine Life Centre offers a fantastic introduction to Shetland’s incredible wildlife, including Puffins and Guillemots, which nest on cliffs beneath the Lighthouse during the summer months.
The centre can offer bespoke visitor experiences, from self-guided visits with welcome talks, to guided tours of the Engine Room, Smiddy, Marine Centre, WWII Radar Hut, and Nature Reserve. During the summer months, the University becomes one of the biggest suppliers of bedrooms within the St Andrews area.
