About Orkney
I offer driver-guided tours for up to four in a Ford Galaxy and tours for larger groups in a hired coach. Tours can be one day or longer and are designed around the guests’ interests. Having grown up on a small farm beside our World Heritage Site, my tours offer an insight into Orkney’s ancient and more recent past. Any family connections with Orkney can be researched before the tour, which will then be planned around my findings.
I research Orkney’s history and our connections with the wider world and give talks at the Orkney International Science Festival. American guests can learn about Orkney’s part in the American Revolution and Canadians can hear about the Hudson’s Bay Company.
Prices £440 per day for up to four people, including any entrance fees but not lunch.
