Harray Potter

Owned and run by Andrew Appleby, Harry Potter is a traditional ceramic business creating a mixture of tableware and art. The pottery is a must stop on the craft trail for all ages, guests to the island and locals. Located in Harray, the pottery is also close to the nearby Standing Stones of Stenness, and the Ring and Ness of Brodgar as well as Skara Brae. Book an experience to meet the maker and hear about their craft, watch a display of the techniques used and receive an 11% discount on shop sales. Groups welcome.

Aurora Jewellery

Founded in 1997 by master craftsman Steven Cooper, Aurora has grown to become one of the leading jewellery businesses in Orkney, with a reputation for producing truly unique silver and gold pieces influenced by the history, landscapes and culture of the islands. The only jewellers in the UK to have a licence from Sony Television to produce collections based on the Outlander series. Capacity for groups up 10 people, parking for minibus and cars. Workshop is open all year, Mon – Fri 9am – 5pm. Visitors are able to view work in progress from the shop.

Castaway Crafts

An Orkney born and bred business selling handmade in Orkney products from over 140 local artisans, including beautiful Harris Tweed products handmade on the premises. You can see Fiona at work in her adjoining workshop while you browse the most comprehensive range of locally handmade products you will find. Pick your own fabric and have your own product made to order to add that special touch. Watch a work in progress on your visit or prebook for a particular experience. Groups 7-12 welcome, parking for cars, minibus, small & large coaches.

Located on an island at a Viking heritage site with stunning beachfront view, this is the perfect setting to unwind.

We can accommodate six, ensuring an exclusive personal experience. Beginners or experienced artists will be inspired by the beautiful surroundings.

Creative activities include Viking Rune Stones, Travel Journalling & Moonology. Available all year on your chosen dates.

Pierowall Hotel

We are a licenced hotel and restaurant in Westray, one of Orkney’s outer isles. We can seat up to 32 comfortably and have plenty parking opposite hotel. We open from 10am for coffees and offer lunches and evening meals using as much local produce as we can. We have lots of wildlife and local walks and beaches around the island.
