Lindores Abbey Distillery

Lindores Abbey Distillery stands on the historic site of an ancient abbey in Fife, around an hour’s drive from Edinburgh. Long regarded as the spiritual home of Scotch whisky, it is where the first recorded whisky was made in 1494. The distillery produces award-winning single malt whiskies and is home to a popular visitor experience that celebrates history, craft, and place. Guided tours of the distillery and historic ruins are available for small or large groups, including private visits.
