Ardbeg House is now taking bookings for Autumn 2025 and beyond. Following a multi-million-pound revamp, the former Islay Hotel in Port Ellen – just a stone’s throw from the Ardbeg Distillery – will reopen in early September with 12 beautifully designed bedrooms, Islay Bar, and restaurant. This transformed hotel is a space which reflects the spirit of the island and the character of Ardbeg’s single malt whisky. Community, craftsmanship and creativity have shaped every detail, all with a distinctively Ardbeggian twist. This epic establishment in Port Ellen, brings together the best of Islay on the plate and in the glass.

The Inn at Charlestown

Two new five bedroom lodges (sleeping up to 14 people per lodge) have been built within the grounds of The Inn at Charlestown. Stylishly decorated, these luxurious lodges have a lovely outlook from their elevated position. Guests will enjoy spacious bedrooms and access to three shower-rooms. There is also an opportunity to relax in the fabulous private hot tub and outside sitting area.

The Marcliffe Hotel & Spa

What’s new?
Marcliffe has announced multi-million-pound upgrades this year, with work scheduled to take place from April – December 2025. The centrepiece will be a new dome-style dining space in the hotel’s courtyard. As part of the renovations, guest rooms will also be upgraded, with improved air conditioning, refreshed interiors and modernised amenities. The hotel will remain open throughout the renovation period.

Murrayshall Country Estate
